Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu göreve başladı
Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu (KVKK), Yargıtay’da yemin ederek görevine başladı. Geçen yıl 24 martta 6698 Sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu TBMM’de kabul edilmiş ve 7 Nisan 2016 tarihli 29677 sayılı Resmi Gazete’de yayınlanarak, 6 ay sonra olan 7 ekim 2016’da yürürlüğe girmişti.

Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu (KVKK), Yargıtay’da yemin ederek görevine başladı.Kişisel verilerin işlenmesinde başta özel hayatın gizliliği olmak üzere, kişilerin temel hak ve özgürlüklerini korumak ve kişisel verileri işleyen gerçek ve tüzel kişilerin yükümlülükleri ile uyacakları usul ve esasları düzenlemek amacıyla oluşturulan bu kanunun getirdiği önemli 2 tanım, ilgili kurum/şirketlerdeki “Veri işleyen” ve ona bu yetkiyi veren “Veri Sorumluları” idi. Ama asıl önemli yapı, yeni kurulacak olan “Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu (KVKK)” olacaktı.

İşte bu kurul (KVKK) 12 ocak 2017 perşembe günü Yargıtay’da yemin ederek göreve başladı. KVKK, TBMM seçimi ile Cabir Bilirgen, Cengiz Paşaoğlu, Turan Arık, İhsan Ezel Büyüksekbanve Vedat Yıldız, Cumhurbaşkanı seçimi ile Prof.Dr. Faruk Bilir ile Şaban Baba ve Bakanlar Kurulu seçimi ile Murat Karakaya ile Hasan Aydın’dan oluşuyor.

Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kanunuyla kurulan KVKK Ankara’da ve Başbakanlığa bağlı olarak çalışıyor. Kurul, kanunun altındaki ikincil mevzuatı yaratmak ve uygulanmasını sağlamakla görevli. Kurul, biri başkan olmak üzere dokuz üyeden oluşuyor. Başkan ve başkan yardımcısı, kurulun üyeleri arasından seçiliyor.
